July 2026 Midstate Messenger: Capital Credits, Unclaimed Funds & More
– By #Lori at Midstate Communications
The July 2026 edition of the Midstate Messenger is now available, and it includes important updates for Midstate Communications members. One of this month’s biggest announcements is the return of more than $1 million in capital credits to eligible Midstate member-owners. Capital credits are one of the benefits of belonging to a cooperative. They represent a member’s share of Midstate’s margins based on the services purchased during qualifying years. Checks will be distributed at the end of July, and individual amounts will vary.
You’ll also want to review the “Do We Owe You Money?” section. Midstate’s records show that several individuals and businesses may be entitled to unclaimed funds. The newsletter includes the names, amounts and instructions for submitting proper evidence of ownership. If you recognize a name on the list, please help us spread the word.
This month’s newsletter also includes an update concerning the Districts 1 and 2 board seats. Because only one candidate successfully filed a petition for each position, the district elections scheduled for July 16 have been canceled. Incumbents Dave Lehr and Robert Holleman will be reappointed to three-year terms during Midstate’s Annual Meeting of Members in October.
Finally, Gene and Linda are preparing for company—and for the question that often comes before guests even get their shoes off: “What’s your Wi-Fi password?” Their latest story explains how customers with a Midstate router can use the free CommandIQ app to create a separate guest Wi-Fi network. Visitors can get connected while your main home Wi-Fi password stays private.
There’s plenty of useful information waiting for you in this month’s issue.
