Midstate Communications Board of Directors Election 2026 | Districts 1 & 2

Midstate Communications members in District 1 and District 2 will have the opportunity to vote in the upcoming 2026 Board of Directors election. As a member-owned cooperative serving communities across south-central South Dakota, your voice plays an important role in shaping the future of your local telecommunications provider.

Who Can Run for the Board?

To qualify as a candidate, you must:

  • Live in District 1 or District 2
    • District 1 includes the exchanges of Kimball, Gann Valley & Fort Thompson
    • District 2 includes the exchanges of Delmont, New Holland, Stickney, and White Lake
  • Be a Midstate Communications member in good standing

How to Get on the Ballot

Interested in serving your cooperative? Here’s how to get started:

  • Request a nomination petition from the Midstate Communications office in Kimball
  • Submit your completed petition on or by June 16, 2026

If two or more qualified candidates file within a district, ballots will be mailed to members in that district.

For those wanting to cast their ballot in person, an election meeting will be held on July 16th from 9-11 am in the  Midstate Communications Office – Kimball, SD
